In addition to the insecticide, there are two major components to the system: the Controller and the Nozzle Circuit. There are also several Options that can be added to your system.
The Controller is the brain of the Mr. Mosquito system. It activates the system based on input from the consumer or installer. The panel is housed in a weatherproof enclosure and features a digital display and easy to use buttons, through which the consumer can easily set, reset or confirm the timing and duration of the mist cycles. There is a backup battery to protect the settings if the power is interrupted and a panel door lock to control access. The Controller also provides tank level information to the user. A remote control is included with each system. It allows you to mist in between scheduled mists or even turn the system off from inside the house and up to 300 feet away.
Our precision-engineered nozzles are installed around the perimeter of the area to be protected and connected with high pressure rated nylon tubing. The mist pattern is conical in shape and projects 8 – 10 feet from the nozzle tip. So, the nozzles are typically placed about 10 - 15 feet apart to ensure full coverage. The nozzles themselves have a high engineering content. The tips are made of a high quality metal and weather well. The orifice has been designed to yield a very fine droplet size at our operating pressure. Because pyrethrins breakdown in ultraviolet light, black tubing is used where it will be exposed to sunlight. Clear tubing may be used when it is not directly exposed, for example under the eaves of the house or buried underground. The tubing also may be painted to match its background. The nozzles are connected to the tubing through push-to-connect fittings, which are highly machined pieces of precision hardware and are nickel plated for weather resistance.
Agitator – The optional agitator keeps the solution well mixed which yields a consistent blend with the mist. Unless it is agitated the insecticide tends to settle. The agitator keeps the insecticide from separating which allows for a consistent blend.
The optional zoning kit helps manage large installations. Like a sprinkler system, two separate nozzle circuits can be installed and each can have its own misting schedule.
HOW IS IT INSTALLED?
One of our authorized dealers will come to your home and professionally design a system layout customized for your yard. They’ll know just where to install our precision-engineered nozzles – whether on the eaves of your home, along a fence line, or in your landscaping – to stop mosquitoes at the source while preserving the beauty of your yard.
The attractive Gen II system can be located anywhere in your yard that is convenient to a hose bib and an electrical outlet. The drum based system will be located in a remote corner of your property - usually next to the air conditioning unit or pool equipment - where it will go unnoticed. Once installed, our systems virtually disappear into your landscape. You won't even know it's there. Whatever your requirements, a Mr. Mosquito system can be customized to fit your yard perfectly.
USE AND MAINTENANCE
The most valuable feature of owning a Mr. Mosquito system is being able to enjoy an evening cookout or send your kids out to play after dinner without even thinking about mosquitoes. Once installed, the system requires very little attention or maintenance beyond replenishing the insecticide, making a periodic routine inspection of the nozzle circuit, and winterizing the system if you live in a colder climate. Most of our dealers offer a contract to provide these services, and the vast majority of their customers take them up on it. Some system owners, however, prefer to do the service themselves. We provide all the instructions necessary in our user’s manuals.
